On April 19,1995 Timothy McVeigh, with the help of Terry Nichols and Michael Fortier, made a deadly cocktail of agricultural fertilizer, diesel fuel, and other chemicals. He drove a Ryder truck into the garage and fled from the garage. At 9:02 a.m. the bomb went off killing 168 people including 19 young children. People watched in horror as news flashed the horrific images over the TV.

It didn't take long for the FBI to find the rear axle of the Ryder truck McVeigh drove. They then traced the identification number to a body shop in Junction City, Kansas. The employees helped the FBI by making up a sketch of McVeigh. As the FBI entered his information into their data base they discovered he had already been arrested by a State Trooper who had noticed his car with no plates. After approaching the vehicle he found a illegally concealed hand gun in McVeigh's car.
